Our lobsters are sourced from local fishermen in Penobscot Bay and surrounding islands then briefly stored in our aerated ocean water tanks where we can select the perfect “bug” for you. Our insulated boxes and reusable gel packs are specially designed for overnight shipping to anywhere in the United States (shipments to Hawaii require prior approval from the Department of Aquaculture to be sent live). Simply select the number of lobsters and size you would like and add it to the shopping cart. (? not sure if this is an accurate description of how the purchase process will work) Your selection will then be expertly placed in the shipping container for Federal Express to hand-deliver to your door. If you prefer your lobsters can be cooked prior to shipment and reheated for serving. Unfortunately, no travel plans are without risk. If the weather should delay the timely arrival of your shipment (which is rare) there are no refunds offered by Federal Express or Jess’s Market. Jess’s Market’s hard-shelled lobsters are guaranteed to arrive alive provided they receive proper handling by FedEx and the recipient. Handling instructions are located on the top of the packaging and the package must be received by a person upon arrival to qualify. Please contact us immediately upon opening the package if there are any issues or concerns. All claims must be made to Jess’s Market within 24 hours of receipt.
Thoroughly cooking foods of animal origin such as fish, shellfish and crustaceans reduce the risk of foodborne illness.
