The quantity of the above ingredients will vary depending on the taste and degree of gluttony of the chef
Diced lean salt pork | ½ pound |
Medium white onions diced | 2 |
Large white potatoes, peeled and diced | 3 large |
Light cream | 2 pints |
Fish stock | 2 pints |
Butter | 3 tablespoons |
Salt and pepper to taste |
Directions
Obviously there is a certain latitude in the making of a fish chowder. The recipe given here is my favorite. The fish stock can be purchased or made easily with the recipe that follows.
